Protech Integration is Behind the Scenes of Tel Aviv's Centennial Art Month
Protech Integration was in charge of over 50 video art installations across the city of Tel Aviv.
Forming the central event of the centennial of the first Hebrew city, the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Art Biennial ARTLV09 a major international art event was held in Tel Aviv during September Art Month.
The goal of the event is to place the local art scene firmly on front stage in the world of contemporary art. The vision is to launch a new tradition in the city – a biennial that took place in tandem with the biennials in Istanbul and Athens, creating a sequence of artistic happenings around the Mediterranean.
Curatored by Edna Moshenson and Maayan Sheleff, the Biennial displayed the works of over 300 artists at twenty different venues and in public areas. The event offered an unprecedented glimpse of the scope and scale of Israel’s art scene.
A number of works were displayed in the urban space as an extension of the main exhibition, creating a route leading from the city center to the exhibition venue. These works were selected by curator Michael Kessus Gedalyowitch
